I am a French music producer and composer with a background in drama, shaping narratives through sound.
MY STORY
I have always been into music and art in general since I was young. Started taking drums lessons when I was five, singing in a choir and taking drama classes at the same time. I ended up learning drama in a Conservatoire in France, while I was doing my Baccalaureat with a specialisation in Music, where we worked with renowned people such as the Diotima Quartet , or Jason Marsalis.
I then pursued my studies, focusing more on music. I went to Leeds Conservatoire and lived in the United Kingdoms for three years, learning Music Production. There, I studied electronic, electroacoustic and film music composition. We also had studio recording classes, and could book studios all day and night long to practise, and develop projects with the other students. The last aspect of my studies is the mixing and mastering side of the music production process. One of the best things about my degree were the masterclasses, where we would meet and work with professional music producers and musicians. Andrew Scheps himself gave us, throughout the three years I was there, around 5 masterclasses and personnel feedback on our work.
Living in another country and meeting new people in my domain was such an important and enriching experience. I still have some long lasting friends in the UK and go back to visit whenever I can.
I then went back to France with a Degree, and the ambition of making a living out of my music. Taking any project I could to keep getting better and make contacts. I have been very lucky and have had a lot of very interesting projects. It is still early in my career, but I know now more than ever that I have my place in this industry.
THE STORY OF BOSSMAN FRANCK
I was born in Orleans, France, but BossMan Franck was born when I was in Leeds with my brother. My name being Francois, it is pretty hard to say for most English speakers and as a good Frenchman, I love cooking.
We used to have parties with my brother’s friend at our place a lot, as we were living in a pretty big flat. Whenever people would come, I would cook a massive dish for everyone to enjoy. One day, I cooked such a lush and delicious supper that all of our friends were astonished. I could see stars in their eyes. On that night, my whole life would change. They gave me, unanimously, this honorific name: BossMan Franck “Le Chef”.
They kept calling me BossMan, and it started spreading. Soon, my friends called me BossMan, my brother, and now… even my mom and dad. I had been struck by fate. I knew I would never escape that name. I was now BossMan Franck “Le Chef”, forever and ever.

MY PHILOSOPHY
To me, the music in a movie is more than a mere companion; it is an additional character, an integral part of the narrative. It transcends the role of enhancing emotions; it becomes a storyteller in its own right. This belief is deeply rooted in my experiences at Leeds Conservatoire, where I immersed myself in electronic, electroacoustic, and film music composition.
In my work, I strive to go beyond the expected, treating each piece of music as an opportunity to explore new perspectives and offer depth to the narrative. I believe that music is not about dictating emotions but rather providing a canvas for the audience’s feelings to unfold naturally. It is a journey—moving from one emotional space to another, surprising, comforting, and resonating with the essence of the story.
I am driven by the desire to connect with my audience on a profound level. Each note, each melody, is crafted with the intention of evoking a genuine emotional response, whether it be nostalgia, joy, or contemplation.
As I continue on this musical journey, I aspire to keep exploring and experimenting in this vast world that is music. The evolving landscape of genres and storytelling possibilities constantly inspires me to push the boundaries of my own creativity.
In essence, music is an ever-evolving language that speaks to the soul. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that it should not just be heard but felt—a powerful force that resonates with the human experience.
